This is strange. This is very... strange.
[The feed opens on a teenage boy who honestly doesn't look like the picture of health; his hair is a mess, his skin is pale, and even though he's sitting, his posture has a certain slump that doesn't exactly imply "physical strength". Still, even if Nagito Komaeda's body is frail, his mind is still sharp as a tack. ...Well, usually. Sometimes. Depends on the context? Well, it's sharp right now, and that's all that matters.]
[He's silent for a few moments, apparently in deep thought.]
[The first and most obvious conclusion is that this is another ploy by Monobear. Last night, he'd watched the end of the third trial and went to sleep, troubled somewhat by what had happened... and now, not even twenty-four hours later, Monobear had dropped him in a Pokémon region of all places? Was this the motive? If so, why didn't he wait for someone to commit murder on their own first? Honestly, Komaeda can't think of any possible way Monobear could make despair out of the Pokemon world; even if he tried to corrupt it, it would only affect the people who have a strong emotional attachment to the originals. Komaeda could think of no one who might know them except Nanami and himself -- Nanami didn't seem like the killer type, and Komaeda honestly wasn't attached enough to care one way or the other. He honestly couldn't even recall the name of the bull thing he'd been given as a starter.]
[Speaking of Nanami... where is everyone? Komaeda had already tried looking through the network, which raised even more questions. If, again, it was Monobear who did all this, why would he go to the effort of writing so many different entries? Why were there actual people with varied personalities, and not an army of Monobears?]
[...Actually, the bear hasn't shown his face on anything at all so far. And quite honestly, that alarms Komaeda more than if it had. Had something... happened to them? Komaeda plans to find out. Depending on the reaction of the masses, who may be either Monobear's fabrications or real people, he'll get to the bottom of this mystery, just like all the others. First order of business: figure out what's happened outside.]
Oh, I should probably introduce myself...
Nagito Komaeda. That's my name.
Anyhow... has anyone here heard of Hope's Peak Academy? Please tell me what you know.

A-Ah...did he?
[Well, she trusts Naegi; if he had chosen to tell Komaeda about their situation, then there was obviously a good reason.]
...Yes, that's true. [...Wait a second.] "Another"...? Do you mean...you were involved in one, too?
video; private
Yes. The exact circumstances of these games were what I was trying to figure out with Naegi-kun. According to him, you were the class preceding ours, so it stands to reason that your game happened first. Supposedly you were able to take down the mastermind and kill her.
On the other hand, I was still dealing with a completely functional Monobear until the moment I entered this place.
Do you have any thoughts on that?

[She had no idea that they even defeated the mastermind...no one had told her. She knew that Kirigiri was wanting to have a meeting with the others to bring those who were lagging behind in knowledge up to speed with what the rest of them knew, but that had yet to happen. Hearing it from Komaeda is rather jarring, and honestly, she's not quite sure which was worse - hearing it from Komaeda or hearing it from Kirigiri and the others. She at least would have appreciated hearing it from her classmates...instead of someone that she didn't even know, someone who she had just met, knowing more than she did. That just made her feel terrible.]
I'm sorry. I... I can't help you. I don't know anything.

[...But he's thinking in hypotheticals now. Maybe he should get back to the conversation at hand.]
That's too bad. It seems that everyone is in varying degrees of cluelessness about this whole situation.
video; private
[For example, there is a factor called timelines involved here...and as we have just seen, they can really impact a person.]
I'm afraid that I...can't be of much help regarding that, though. The mastermind.

[Komaeda smiles at her. He doesn't expect that finding the answers will be easy, but he also has no desire to criticize Maizono if she can't be of use. Really, this setback just means that he has to work a bit harder...]
video; private
...Since you've spoken to Naegi-kun prior, I'm assuming that he's already told you about Johto?
[In the event that Komaeda did have any questions regarding that, then she would definitely be able to be of use.]
video; private
[Multiple people have told him multiple things, Maizono; you'll have to be a bit more specific than that.]
video; private
Indeed there is...well, he's told you about the journey you're supposed to be going on with your Pokémon, right? The gym challenges?
video; private
Yes, I know about that.
[He partially already knew, and Nanami confirmed it. But he doesn't need to go into that much detail for Maizono. If she thinks Naegi told him, it's not that big of a deal.]

He's also quite keen to make friends, I noticed.
video; private
Yes, that sounds just like him...I'd even say he was the peacemaker of our group.
[Like when he tried to intervene in a potential fight between Togami and Oowada, and consequently ended up getting his lights knocked out. Good times.]

[If Naegi himself didn't share his talent, then Sayaka's unsure of whether or not she should. After all, there had to have been a good reason, right?]

[He was too busy talking about that mastermind.]
video; private
Mm...well, he was admitted through Hope's Peak entrance lottery, so he's Super High-School Level Good Luck.
video; private
[Komaeda is silent for a moment.]
...So you're telling me... that he got in because of a random drawing? [And he just happened to be totally awesome???]
video; private
Yes, that's correct.
video; private
What a coincidence! Such a hopeful person like him deserves to be in Hope's Peak, without a doubt, but he got in from a random drawing! What are the odds of that?
video; private
Um...that is why he's called Super High-School Level Good Luck. The odds were very slim, but he managed to get the winning ticket.
